John started as a volunteer fireman at Beecroft Fire Station and later became an Officer at the Station. He has a long career of supporting his local community through Lions Club, Beecroft Garden Club, saving the historic Cheltenham Congregational Church and many other local community groups. He is a quiet achiever who volunteers considerable time to supporting community projects in the region.
