Glenys has been a resident of Beecroft since 1963 and is involved in many community organisations. Glenys is known for her active leadership in various areas of community service.  She first became involved in assisting the local school with their activities and also helped other local children in her caring, compassionate way.

One of her strengths is the way in which she involves many others in what she proposes. If it is wreath making for Anzac Day or hospitality for a function, Glenys encourages as many people as possible to join in the project. In this way she brings the community together and gives people more opportunities for fellowship.

In the Beecroft and District Garden Club, Glenys enthusiastically organises special events and helps to keep people engaged. With her friendly outgoing personality, she has worked hard in many events for the community.
