Carol is Australian historian and researcher who specialises in the history of early NSW. A resident of Beecroft Cheltenham area, Carol has been a patron of the Hornsby Shire Historical Society for many years and is closely involved in the work of Parramatta Historical Society.

She contributed to the book – “Beecroft and Cheltenham: the shaping of a Sydney community to 1914” which was produced by the Beecroft Cheltenham History Group in 1995 several times over past 3 decades and has been a Councillor since 1983.

In 2016 Carol received the Annual History Citation from the History Council of NSW in recognition of her lifelong contribution to history and heritage, including that to community and local history organisation.

Carol was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2017 Australia Day Honours for distinguished service to the preservation and documentation of Australia history and heritage to professional societies and to education as a teacher and mentor.
