Robin, a long-time resident of Beecroft, is Australian lecturer, critic and editor in children's literature. She has played a key role in bringing books and children together. She advocates for children’s books as a way of creating bridges across generations and across languages and cultures

She has lectured in Children’s Literature, worked as a Publisher of Children’s Books. She was founder of The Children’s Bookshop in Beecroft, which for many years was the only specialist shop of its kind

Robin speaks publicly about children’s books since the 1970s and has addressed countless groups of parents, teachers and academics giving pointers about how to get off to a good start with reading, techniques for making book time a happy experience, and guidelines for selecting the best books for each age group

She has been NSW judge for the Children’s Book Council of Australia awards.

She has taught children's literature courses at Macquarie University, Australian Catholic University, University of Technology, Sydney and Simmons College, Boston.

Robin Morrow was honoured in the 2014 Australia Day Honours with award of Member (AM) of the Order of Australia for significant service to children’s literature, and through leadership roles in a range of professional associations.
